I am a(n) EMT, nurse, doctor, etc… What CPR course would you recommend?

If you are a healthcare provider or will be working in the healthcare environment then it is highly recommended that you pursue a CPR course labeled “For Healthcare Providers”. Anything less will not be suitable for your type of work, and you may be required to complete additional courses for proper certifications. If you have any questions please contact the instructor.

I want to be CPR certified, but I don’t work in the medical field, should I get the CPR for healthcare provider?

It is completely up to you, the main difference between the Heartsaver CPR/AED and the BLS for Healthcare Providers is the use of medically advanced devices such as bag valve masks as well as discussions pertaining to differences in ventilation rates with advanced airways and healthcare provider approaches to cardiac related situations in healthcare environments. If you are not going to be working in the healthcare environment it is strongly recommend that you take the heartsaver CPR/AED course, it will prepare you to handle emergency situations without the assumption that you are already a healthcare provider in a healthcare setting.
