Description: This course in intended for healthcare and non-healthcare providers that are exposed to situations where correct oxygen administration is key to patient survival. The American Health and Safety Institute’s Oxygen program focuses on administering oxygen in emergency situations to victims who are breathing as well as victims who are not breathing. This course identifies the correct methods when using emergency oxygen delivery systems as well as the integration of pulse oxumetry devices.
Course Length: Approximate course length is about 2 hours
Intended Audience: This course in intended for healthcare professionals. Everyone should be familiar with the complete CPR sequence, however this course encompasses techniques that will be most effectively utilized among healthcare providers such as EMT’s, nurses, and physicians.
Certification: Upon successful course completion students will receive an Emergency Oxygen Administration certification from the American Health and Safety Institute. The certification is good for 2 years from the date of the course.
