Bloodborne Pathogens

Description: American Safety & Health Institute’s Bloodborne Pathogens program is a dynamic program that allows students to become better more affiliated with the idea of body and substance isolation procedures. This course outlines the microbiological harms that one can be exposed to if proper precautions are not taken. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1920.1030).

Course Length: Approximate course length is about 2 hours

Intended Audience: This course in intended for healthcare professionals. Everyone should be familiar with the complete CPR sequence, however this course encompasses techniques that will be most effectively utilized among healthcare providers such as EMT’s, nurses, and physicians.

Certification: Upon successful course completion students will receive a Bloodborne Pathogens certification from the American Health and Safety Institute. The certification is good for 12 months from the date of the course.
