Students have the option to take an online courses to satisfy either CPR or First Aid course requirements by the American Heart Association. The certification card you receive (after successfully completing the online course and in-person skills session evaluation) will be exactly the same as the certification card you would have received if you had taken the course traditionally (in the classroom) The following courses can be completed online, where students can receive the same certification as if they completed the course traditionally (in classroom). Courses which offer the online completion option are Heartsaver First Aid, Heartsaver CPR/AED, and the BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Upon successfully completion of any one of these courses online, students will receive a certificate of completion. This online course completion certificate MUST be printed out by the student.
THIS CERTIFICATE IS NOT YOUR ACTUAL COURSE CERTIFICATION – THIS IS ONLY ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF COMPLETING THE ONLINE COURSE. Students will then need to bring this completion certificate to an American Heart Association BLS Instructor to be evaluated on the skills taught in the online course. Successfully passing the in person Skills Session is mandatory to complete the course and receive a certification card by the American Heart Association
